Moritz Engel is a product designer from Germany, currently based in Lausanne, Switzerland. His projects encompass a wide range of areas, including playful furniture and objects, transportation design, speculative concepts, and exploratory material research. Moritz is dedicated to considering the environmental and social impact of his designs in all aspects of his work. He strives to technically refine his projects while maintaining a playful and unique approach, reflectinghis belief that objects should have a personality of their own. In 2022, Moritz was awarded a scholarship by the German Academic Scholarship Foundation, and in 2023, he exhibited at Ambiente in Frankfurt, Germany, as part of the Ambiente Talents program. In 2024, he completed his Bachelor’s degree in Design in the Digital Society at the University of Fine Arts Braunschweig. In addition to his studies,Moritz worked as a freelance photographer and created 3D visualizations for various clients. He is currently pursuing a Master’s in Product Design at the École Cantonale d‘Art de Lausanne (ECAL).
